About the Park
Mollidgewock State Park lies along the shore of the Androscoggin River within Thirteen Mile Woods Scenic Area, approximately 28 miles north of Berlin and three miles south of Errol. Water and pit toilets are located in the campground. Wood and ice are offered for sale, canoes and kayaks can be rented. Thirteen Mile Woods Scenic Area, in which the campground is located, is popular for watching moose and other wildlife. The Androscoggin offers great canoeing and kayaking opportunities for both novice and expert paddlers. The campground offers 44 tent sites; 42 of the sites are located at the base camp and 2 remote sites.
Mollidgewock State Park Improvement Project, 2024
Funding for the Campground Expansion Project was appropriated to the Division of Parks and Recreation to replace obsolete infrastructure, add new infrastructure and supporting facilities (i.e. toilet buildings), to support existing visitors and meet the demand for camping experiences.
The Division is proposing to do the following:
30% Set Design for Mollidgewock State Park
Add a new building that has a covered porch, retail store, restrooms, showers, storage area, and offices. This building will have an ADA-compliant ramp.
- Build a new woodshed that will be used for firewood storage and boat storage.
- A septic system for the proposed building.
See the map and rendering of the site design at Mollidgewock State Park.
