Maximum Length of Stay
There is a 14-day maximum per visit at all NH State Park campgrounds except at Hampton Beach and Ellacoya RV Parks, where no camping vehicle or person can stay longer than a cumulative 14 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Res 7302.03 Camping Permits.
(d) Camping permits shall have a maximum duration of 14 consecutive days at all campgrounds unless extended pursuant to paragraph (e). Hampton Beach and Ellacoya RV parks shall have a maximum duration of 14 consecutive or accumulative days from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend for any person or camping vehicle. Extensions of camping permits at Hampton Beach and Ellacoya RV parks shall not be permitted.

Reservation Information
- Reservations are taken for all state park campgrounds through Reserveamerica, either online or by calling 1-877-nhparks (1-877-647-2757).
- 3 night minimum is required for any reservations for this year if booked before April 1, on or after April 1 reservations for this season have a 1 night minimum.
- 3 night minimum is required for any reservations for next season.
- Reservations are non-transferable at the park.
- Only the person whose name is on the reservation can check in at the park.
- The maximum reservation window is 11 months in advance and sites become available at 8AM (Mon-Fri) and 9AM (Sat&Sun) on the 11 month mark. This is for all NH State Campgrounds except the Lodges at Coleman State Park.
- The maximum reservation window for the Lodges at Coleman State Park is 12 months in advance and sites become available at 8AM (Mon-Fri) and 9AM (Sat&Sun) on the 12 month mark.
Reservation Fees
- There is a non-refundable reservation fee of $6.50.

Site Fees
- The camping nightly fee that is collected when making a reservation only covers two adults and up to 4 children.
- Each additional adult and each additional child will be charged an additional fee per night.
Change Fees
- There is an $2.15 non-refundable fee to change a reservation.
- Changes can only be made by calling the call center prior to the reservation cut-off window (1 day before) but they will be charged $2.15.
- Changing sites at the facility is not guaranteed. Local policy applies to all site changes inside the cut-off window and only after arrival.
- Changing the name on a reservation is considered a cancellation.
Cancellation Fees
- Full refund minus transaction fee if you cancel at least 10 + days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
- Full refund minus reservation fee plus cost of one night of camping if you cancel 4-9 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
- No refund if you cancel 0-3 days from your scheduled arrival date.
Refund Policy
- Refunds are considered on a case by case basis. Refunds will not be issued due to weather or mosquitoes.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing and e-mailed to nhstateparkscamping@dncr.nh.gov or mailed to: The NH Reservation Information Office, 172 Pembroke Rd, Concord, NH 03301. Requests must be submitted in writing within 14 days of departure. Please allow 7-10 business days for reply.
Senior Citizens
- New Hampshire residents age 65 and older are offered a $5 discount per night, except at Hampton Beach RV, Ellacoya RV, Cannon RV, and Coleman Lodges campgrounds. Discount applies to the site fee and is only applicable if New Hampshire senior citizen is registered as the primary occupant on the site. The discount is applied once identification is verified at the campground. Discount does not apply to extra adult fees. There is a non-refundable reservation fee of $6.50.
Check-in and Check-out Times
- Reserved campers can check-in between 1pm and 8pm on the scheduled arrival date and check out by 11am on the departure date.
- Reserved customers checking in after 8pm due to emergency situations must call the park directly for after hour check-in procedures.
- It is the camper's responsibility to read and follow park rules.
- The parks are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Minors (under 18 years of age)
- A camping permit or reservation shall not be issued to anyone under 18 years old.
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult who accepts all responsibility for the camping party.
Visitors
- Visitors are permitted and must register with the campground and pay the day use fee.
- Visiting hours vary per Park.
Quiet Hours
- Quiet hours are between 10pm - 7am.
- Radios, televisions, etc limited to your site, but must be reasonable as not to disturb adjoining campers.
- No car stereos allowed.
- No generators to be run during quiet hours.
- Generators can be run in the following campgrounds from 9am - 12pm and 5pm - 8pm: Bear Brook, Coleman, Deer Mountain, Greenfield, Lake Francis, Lodges at Coleman, Pawtuckaway, Monadnock and White Lake State Park.
- Generator hours at Hampton RV Park are 7am-9am, 11am-1pm, and 5pm-9pm.
Campfires
- All campgrounds fires are subject to fire restrictions.
- All permitted camping fires must be contained within the fire ring.
- Trash burning is prohibited.
- All fires must be out by 11:30pm.
- Firewood is a major carrier of exotic insects and tree diseases. Do not bring firewood from out of state locations.
Pets
- Pets are permitted at Bear Brook, Coleman, Deer Mountain, Dry River, Greenfield, Lake Francis, Milan, Mollidgewock, Moose Brook, Pillsbury, Sunapee, and Umbagog campgrounds.
- Pets must be leashed and supervised at all times.
- No pets are permitted on the bathing beaches.
- Pets may not be allowed in cabins. Varies by park. Please check Visiting With Your Pets for more information.
Dump Station Policy
Dump Station is for use by registered campers only.
Outside use is not permitted. See campground map for dump station location.
Youth Group Camping
- Youth group reservations will be required to pay a non-refundable $6.50 reservation fee.
- A $25 deposit will be required at time of placing a reservation.
- All additional fees will be collected at the park except for remote sites.
- All remote Youth Group campers at Umbagog must pay in advance.
- Youth groups must camp in tents only and must maintain 1 adult for every 4 children.
- The cancellation policy applies to youth group camping.
Firewood Notice
ATTENTION CAMPERS: DUE TO A THREAT FROM INVASIVE BEETLES, WE ASK CAMPERS NOT TO MOVE FIREWOOD.
Collective Bargaining Agreement – NH State Employees
Any full-time state employee other than University System employees shall be entitled to a 50% discount as listed in one of the approved Collective Bargaining Agreements. This includes camping, day-use areas, and season pass, which is valid for the bearer only. Does not apply to any promotional and or group-use pavilion area. Does not apply to cabins, yurts, or lodges. Employees must abide by the established discount rules and regulations to obtain a discount on the admission price of any state-owned recreation area, see https://apps.das.nh.gov/laborrelations/ for more information on eligibility. Proof of current employment at the time of check-in is required to receive the discounted rate reimbursement.
Drone Usage
Drone use is restricted at all NH State Parks. Drone operators are not permitted to take off or land within NH State Park boundaries.
