Pavilions & Group Use Areas

New Hampshire State Parks are the crown jewels of the state and are the perfect place to have a wedding, reunion, group outing, or any other sort of event. To make a reservation, please call the number listed. 

Anyone wanting to plan an event at a State Park should contact that park directly and organize with the park manager to ensure the date and space is available, as well as to discuss pricing.

Pavilions & group use areas cannot be reserved on holidays & holiday weekends for Ellacoya, Wadleigh State Park, Wellington, White Lake and Winslow State Parks.

The fee for each pavilion includes entrance into the park . If the number of people using the pavilion is more than the number  the number of guests for that area, then an additional entrance fee will be required for each person over the guest limit.

Kingston State Park Group Use Area

Kingston State Park  - 124 Main Street, Kingston, NH 03848; 603-642-5471 

The park is 44 acres in size, and includes fireplaces, picnic areas, a playground, softball field, and three game areas for horseshoes, volleyball and newly added boat rentals. Groups can reserve an area by either one of the bathhouses, for their convenience.  These areas are right next to the beach, playground and game areas. Alcohol is not permitted at Kingston State Park and is strictly enforced, violators will be asked to leave the park and will receive no refund. Reservations are accepted for business parties, birthday parties, kids groups, family functions, and other general gatherings. Reservations must be confirmed with park staff prior to the event, and are not allowed on Holidays or weekends.

Odiorne Point State Park Group Use Area

Surrounded by beautiful stonewalls and overlooking the ocean, Odiorne Point provides a natural backdrop and intimate setting for your next special occasion. Odiorne Point State Park offers one of the most beautiful and diverse natural settings along New Hampshire's coastline with 135-acres of rocky shoreline, sandy beaches, salt marsh, freshwater and salt ponds, dense forest , military and historical sites all connected by an extensive trails system.

Rye Harbor State Park Pavilion and Group Use Area

Known as one of the most picturesque harbors in the Northeast, Ragged Neck at Rye Harbor State Park is a peninsula of rocky coastline filled with lush green grass. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean with a spectacular backdrop of the Isles of Shoals, Ragged Neck is earthly paradise! Rye Harbor State Park is the perfect setting for those seeking a unique, isolated location for gatherings of up to 200 people. A smaller pavilion is also available for groups of 40 people or less.

Bear Brook State Park Pavilions

Bear Brook State Park- 157 Deerfield Road, Allenstown, NH 03275
This scenic park offers many recreational opportunities including, swimming, boating, camping, and fishing, as well as an extensive trail network. Additional amenities include biking, boat rentals, flush toilets, picnicking, a playground, and showers. The park also offers two large pavilions that have ample grassy areas.  With Catamount Pond as a backdrop, these pavilions are great for a wedding, corporate event, family reunion, or any get-together.

Bathhouse Pavilion: located in the day-use area of the park, at the Catamount Pond swimming area. There is a ramp that allows guests with disabilities full access to the pavilion. The public swimming area is at the pavilion and access to the extensive trail system is within walking distance from the pavilion.

Bathhouse Pavilion Amenities: There are restrooms below the pavilion that are shared with the day-use visitors and nearby charcoal grills. There are no outlets or overhead lights in the Bathhouse Pavilion.

Reserve Bear Brook State Park Pavilion

Shelter Pavilion:  This is an open style pavilion. The shelter and the surrounding area can accommodate four hundred people. This area is only a short walk to the beach located across the street.

Shelter Pavilion Amenities: include overhead lighting and electrical outlets. This shelter has its own bathroom facilities, parking lot, running water, barbeque pit, charcoal grill, and fireplace. The shelter also has quick access to the trail system and a softball field.

The fee for this shelter, listed below, is based upon attendance.

Clough State Park Pavilion

Clough State Park – 455 Clough Park Rd, Weare, NH 03246; 603-529-7112
Clough State Park is located on the shore of Everett Lake, a 150-acre lake formed by a dam on the Piscataquog River. The park has a 900-foot sandy beach, playing fields and large picnic areas. A boat ramp is available for non-motorized boats only. Portable toilets are available at the beach. A small store offers boat rentals and sells floats. There are no lifeguards on duty.

Group Use Pavilion:
The Pavilion is located directly on the beach and overlooks Everett Lake. The structure has 6-8 picnic tables that hold 8 people each, the pavilion can accommodate up to 50 people, with an additional 50 people in the surrounding area. Just outside the Pavilion are a couple grills and portable toilets are a short distance away. Gas grills are permitted, which can be used outside of the pavilion. All items must be removed the same day of rental. The pavilion does not have electricity.

Pawtuckaway State Park Pavilion

Pawtuckaway State Park  - 128 Mountain Road, Nottingham, NH 03290  
Pawtuckaway boasts a large 700 ft. family beach on the lake with a bathhouse, grills and picnic tables, a playground, and a park store. The park also offers a private group pavilion and ball field available by reservation only. Other activities in the park include biking, boating, camping, hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.

Reserve Pawtuckaway Pavilion

Group Use Pavilion: The pavilion is located in a private setting within the day-use area of the park and can accommodate several hundred people. With three of the four sides open, the pavilion offers easy access for your guests.

Pavilion Amenities: include running water and electricity, including overhead lighting and outlets. There are private restrooms, a small standing charcoal grill, and a fireplace, as well as volleyball net and field, horseshoe pits, and a baseball diamond that are also included with the pavilion rental. Please note, the park does not offer athletic equipment. Access to the public beach, park store, and the extensive trail system is within walking distance from the pavilion.

MONADNOCK REGION

 

Monadnock State Park Group Use Area

Monadnock State Park  - 116 Poole Road Jaffrey, NH 03452
Monadnock State Park is located in and around the 3,165-ft. Mount Monadnock in south west New Hampshire. With over 30 miles of trails, Monadnock is thought to be one of the most hiked mountains in the world. The park offers year round recreational opportunities including hiking, camping, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. At the main park headquarters entrance there is a park store, flush toilets, and picnicking area.

The Group Shelter Area: The pavilion is open on 4 sides with a roof. The area has 10 tables and can accommodate up to 50 people. There is one stand up grill and one pit grill available. Public restrooms are a short walk from the area. The Pavilion is located at Monadnock Headquarters main entrance, in the heart of the park’s day-use area, providing quick access to the extensive trail system.

LAKES REGION

 

Ellacoya State Park Pavilion

Ellacoya State Park - 266 Scenic Drive, Gilford, NH 03246; 603-293-7821
Ellacoya State Park is located in Gilford on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake. The 600-foot long sandy beach, with views across the lake to the Sandwich and Ossipee mountains, is a great place to spend with the family for a full day of swimming and picnicking. The campground includes 37 sites available by reservation only, and offers three-way hook-ups.

Group Use Pavilion:
The Pavilion overlooks Lake Winnipesaukee with a beautiful view of the Ossipee mountain range. The structure has 12 – 14 picnic tables that hold 6 -8 people and is enclosed by a split rail fence and can accommodate up to 100 people. Just outside the Pavilion is a barbecue pit and bathroom facilities are a short distance away. For your enjoyment, horse shoe pits and playground are nearby. Gas grills are permitted, which can be used outside of the pavilion. All items must be removed the same day of rental. The pavilion does not have electricity.

Wellington State Park Group Use Areas

Wellington State Park  - Off Route 3A, Bristol, NH 03222;
Newfound Lake is a great place to have a family or company party.  The beach area has clean water and plenty of picnic tables to accommodate the whole event.  A pavilion is the best way to keep everyone centralized to one area - good thing there are two here!  Amenities include boating, fishing, flush toilets, hiking, picnicking, and swimming.

White Lake State Park Pavilion

White Lake State Park  - 94 State Park Rd, Tamworth, NH 03886;  603-323-7350 
White Lake State Park offers some of the best swimming in the White Mountain region. The park lies along the shore of White Lake, which is an example of a typical glacial lake. During the Ice Age, glacial ice was buried beneath glacial till or debris. When the ice melted, a depression was created which gradually filled with water. Guests are welcome to enjoy a leisurely walk around the lake on a well-maintained foot path while looking for loons or signs of beaver activity, try their hand at the good trout fishing the lake provides or check out one of our types of boat rentals. The park offers a day-use area, group areas, and a campground with family campsites as well as youth group sites.

The Pavilion Area:
The pavilion can provide space for up to 50 people.  The structure is attached to the beach store near the boat rental shed overlooking White Lake and mountains in the background.  The parking lot, beach and restrooms are shared with the general public.  The pavilion includes picnic tables, a large group grill, trash cans and electricity.  Along with easy access to the beach, there is a trail that surrounds the pond for our guests to enjoy.

Wadleigh State Park

Wadleigh State Park - Sutton, NH 03260
Enjoy your company outing, graduation party or wedding by renting the boathouse. The boathouse is handicap accessible and sits on the beach with garage doors that open to a beautiful view of Kezar Lake. It offers electricity, picnic tables, and a fenced in private BBQ area. Wadleigh State Park has flushed toilets, changing rooms and a playground. Other amenities include swimming, fishing and boating.

Located on the side of Mt. Kearsarge with beautiful views of the White Mountains, the views from this mountain are fantastic.  There’s no better way to celebrate than among the clouds. This is a unique place for any kind of event.  Amenities include fishing, hiking, picnicking, and a playground. Pets are allowed.

Cathedral Ledge State Park Group Use Area

Cathedral Ledge offers views of the White Mountains and the Saco River Valley. The park is very popular for weddings/elopements. The area is an open space of ledge that faces south towards White Horse Ledge. There are no accommodations for any catering needs. No ceremonies are allowed at the fenced-in section of the public viewing area. Due to limited parking availability, carpooling is necessary.

A gorgeous waterfall sets the background for many photo opportunities and a beautiful setting for a small wedding or corporate event. A picnic area with a small covered pavilion adds a nice spot to get out of the rain or heat. Trails leading directly to the base of the waterfall begin at the picnic area. Hiking and picnicking are just a couple of the wonderful things you can do here. Pets are allowed and pit toilets are available.

Jericho Mountain State Park Group Use Area

Known for its trail riding opportunities, this park has amazing views from a number of scenic outlooks. The park also has a wonderful sandy beach on Jericho Lake, where park guests can enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing, or picnicking, with a small grassy area set back from the water

Pavilion Amenities: Set back near the edge of Jericho Lake adjacent to the picnic area, beach, and playground, the 20'x40' pavilion enjoys a view of the lake surrounded by a backdrop of the Northern White Mountains. A large group style grill is located at the pavilion site, and plenty of grassy areas surround the site to add more room for your activities. There is a short walk from the day use parking area to the pavilion, but arrangements can be made with park staff to bring a few vehicles directly to the pavilion behind locked gates if needed. Limited installed lighting is present, but 2 electrical outlets allow you to bring additional lighting or to serve other purposes.

Camping is not permitted at the pavilion or its parking area.

The $100 non-refundable use fee is a deposit and the full amount due will be based on the number of guests who arrive on the day of your event according to required NH State Park per person Day Use Fees. The shelter pavilion has a capacity of 100 people. The balance of fees is due on the day of your event at the park office, based on the number of people less the value of the deposit fee. John Wingate Weeks Historic Site Group Use Area

The John Wingate Weeks Historic Site (at Weeks State Park) is a great location for a wedding with it's beautiful, sweeping views of Presidential Range, grassy lawn overlooking the mountains and old stone fire tower. The Estate is the former summer home of of John Wingate Weeks, leading conservationist, U.S. congressman, U.S. senator, and Secretary of War under Presidents Harding and Coolidge. Set at the very top of Mt. Prospect in Lancaster, New Hampshire, the house and grounds provide a 360-degree panorama of mountain splendor. Visitors can climb the old stone fire tower for even better mountain views. The John Wingate Weeks House Museum is also open to the public and tours are offered during the operating season.

Hampton Beach State Park Pavilion
