HAMPTON BEACH STATE PARK ACCESSIBILITY FEASIBILITY STUDY

We are studying ways to make Hampton Beach State Park more comfortable for all visitors, regardless of differences in ability. This feasibility study will address facilities, programs and amenities at Hampton Beach State Park.

Project Area

The project area is shown in the map below and includes nearly 3.5 miles of shoreline and beach from South Beach to High Street.

Project Information

Hampton Beach State Park includes the following accessible facilities and equipment:
 
  • Reserved parking spaces
  • Ramps to the beach at four locations in the Seashell area
  • A ramp and viewing platform at 18th Street
  • A concrete walkway to the beach at South Beach
  • Beach mats installed seasonally at the four ramp locations at the Seashell area
  • Accessible bathhouses
  • Accessible outdoor showers
  • Beach wheelchairs for use on a first come, first served basis

This project was initiated in March 2024 and was completed October 31, 2024.
