NH State Park seacoast sand beaches, bathrooms and parking are open as of June 1, 2020 With Restrictions

This includes Hampton Beach State Park (Seashell, South Beach and North Beach), North Hampton State Beach, Jenness State Beach and Wallis Sand State Park.

Sunbathing and other traditional beach activities may resume on seacoast beaches, effective June 5, 2020. Beachgoers must still remain 6 feet from other groups.
Those heading to our seacoast beaches should note that current parking restrictions will remain in effect.

Activities and Amenities

North Beach is a great family location with an Atlantic ocean-front setting - its sandy beach is ideal for swimming and picnicking. Amenities at the beach include a bathhouse, which is open year-round. Metered parking is available. Pay stations that are located at State Beaches accept cash and coins as well as credit and debit cards. There are pay meters along a small part of North Beach that accepts coins only. Prior to visiting the NH seacoast, familiarize yourself with the Seacoast Beach information as well as Seacoast Beach parking options.

Metered Parking is enforced daily 8:00 am to midnight including holidays from April 1 through October 31.

Lifeguarding Schedule: Lifeguards are on duty is to be determined.

This park is always open for recreation unless closed or restricted by posting. During off hours and the off-season the park is typically not staffed, comfort stations are not available and gates may be closed. The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Please be aware that many State Park areas and trails are not staffed during the off-season, and day-use fees are not collected. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.


North Beach uses a "Pay & Display" parking system. The fee for parking at the park is $2.00 per hour from May 1st though September 30th and $1.00 per hour from April 1st through April 30th and October 31st. The pay-stations accept credit cards and quarters and bills and allows the visitor to choose the amount of time needed. After you validate your transaction and receive a receipt, place this receipt face up on your dashboard. Parking tickets are issued to those in violation.
