Activities and Amenities
Lake Francis State Park lies on the shores of Lake Francis a 2,000 acre lake near the Connecticut Lakes of the Great North Woods region. Canoe rentals are available. Hunters and anglers enjoy this park as a base for their respective activities. With added ATV camping sites, riders are able to leave their campsite and head right out on the trails. Trails from Lake Francis State Park connect with the 1000 mile of trailsfor OHRV riding in Coos County.
Canoeists enjoy exploring the upper part of the Connecticut River. Lake Francis campground provides 45 sites including 9 sites with water/electric (20amp) hook-ups and 9 sites for ATV camping. Click here for Lake Francis State Park campground information.

This park is always open for recreation unless closed or restricted by posting. During the off-season the park is typically not staffed and comfort stations are not available.

Please note: The main operating season for the campground is Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Outside of the main camping season, (early spring and late fall) camping is first come, first serve and weather permitting. Staffing, services, and facilities may be limited during this time. Please use iron ranger (self-service pay station) to make payment.
