Camping

Ellacoya State Park is located in Gilford on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire's largest lake. The 600-foot long sandy beach, with views across the lake to the Sandwich and Ossipee mountains, is a great place to spend with the family for a full day of swimming and picnicking. The RV Campground includes 37 sites available by reservation only, and offers three-way hook-ups. Tents are not allowed at the RV park. Click here for Ellacoya State Park campground information.  

Beach Reservations

Book your trip to Ellacoya's Beach: Visitors should make a reservation before arriving at the park as parking is limited. Visitors who do not make a reservation will be turned away. When planning a visit, reservations must be made prior to the arrival and no later than 3pm the day of your visit. Please plan ahead in the event the parking areas reach capacity.
Beach Reservations
Parks Plate and Season Pass holders are also encouraged to make reservations. There will be a limited number of parking spaces set aside for plate/pass holders. There is a $1 non-refundable online transaction fee. For more information visit our day-use reservation page.

*Dates and times are weather dependent and subject to change without notice. For up to date hours, please call the park directly. This park is always open for recreation unless otherwise posted. During off hours and the off-season the park is typically not staffed, comfort stations are not available and gates may be closed.

The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Please be aware that many State Park areas and trails are not staffed during the off-season, and day-use fees are not collected. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.

Fees

Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for children ages 6-11; children ages 5 and under and NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free. Season passes are available. When park is unstaffed during the season, please use Iron Ranger (self-serve paystation).

RV Campground

The RV Campground includes 37 sites available by reservation only, and offers three-way hook-ups. The campground is open for reservable stays from April 30 through Columbus Day weekend. Tents are not allowed at the RV park.  View Campground Map
