Activities and Amenities

Rye Harbor State Park affords scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Isles of Shoals, and Rye Harbor, also called Ragged Neck. Favorite activities enjoyed in the park include saltwater fishing and picnicking with ocean breezes. Amenities offered include picnic tables and restrooms.

Dates and times are weather dependent and subject to change without notice. For up to date hours, please call the park directly.

Fee Operating Schedule
Metered Parking:
  • $1.00 per hour from April 1st through
  • April 30th and after October 1st
  • $2.00 per hour from May 1st
  • through October 1st

9/26 - 10/30
Gates: 8 am - 6 pm, Bath house: 8 am - 5 pm
10/31 - Spring  Closed

This park is always open for recreation unless otherwise posted. During off hours and the off-season the park is typically not staffed, comfort stations are not available and gates may be closed. The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.

Fees

Rye Harbor uses a metered parking system:
  • $1.00 per hour from April 1st through April 30th and after October 1st
  • $2.00 per hour from May 1st through October 1st

Events and Weddings at Rye Harbor State Park

Known as one of the most picturesque harbors in the Northeast, Ragged Neck at Rye Harbor State Park is a peninsula of rocky coastline filled with lush green grass. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean with a spectacular backdrop of the Isles of Shoals, Ragged Neck is earthly paradise!

Are pets allowed at Rye Harbor State Park?

Pets are not permitted in the park from May 1 - September 30. Leashed pets are permitted in the park from October 1 - April 30. See the NH State Parks Pets Policy for more information.
