Program Descriptions

Three “ARRR’s” relay**
What’s a pirates favorite letter? “R” of course! Drop in for a beach relay race, while learning how to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle properly!

Sandcastle Limnology
Let’s build (and destroy) HUGE sandcastles and mountains, to learn how lakes are made.

Exploratory hike
Train your inner scientist on a guided hike that focuses on your own ability to explore the world around us! What can you discover? – Suggested to bring a long sleeve shirt to avoid bug bites, and shoes that can get wet!

Table of curiosities**
This is full of natural objects to shed light on the park and world around you. Fun games related to those items are run back to back!

Under the starry sky*
Come hear stories, myths, and science surrounding the starry sky. One of the presenters favorite topics! Bring a blanket to lay on the ground + program is subject to weather.

Recycle right*
This is the only time the large park receptacles will be unlocked for you to empty your recycling before you leave.

Creatures of the deep
There is a whole world of living things under the surface of the water. Let’s use some nets and explore this wet wonderland!
