Southern Rover Programs

The 2018 Discover the Power of Parks program year is has begun! Interpretive ranger, Bethany Bryant has planned informative and fun programs for you to take advantage of while visiting some of our Southern Area State Parks. Parks include Seacoast State Parks, Kingston State Park, Pillsbury State Park, Odiorne Point State Park, Wallis Sands State Beach and Hampton Beach State Park. All programs are free with paid park admission. No pre-registration is required.

Stories of the Stars
For millennia, humans have stared up at the stars. In this program, we will explore some of the popular myths and stories surrounding the constellations.

Busy Beavers
Beavers have a checkered history in the Northeast. In this program, learn about the habits of beavers, why they were trapped, and how they made their comeback in NH.

Wildlife Fur-ensics
Who dun it? Put your wildlife sleuthing skills to the test to see which NH critter committed the crime!

Tales from the CCC
During the height of the Great Depression, the CCC was in NH building roads, planting forests, and constructing Pillsbury State Park. Hear stories of this service organization around a campfire.

Mighty Macros
Explore the tiny (but not invisible!) critters that live in NHs lakes and learn what secrets they hold.

Explore the trees around Kingston SP and learn how to identify almost every tree you encounter!
