Off season use: This park is always open for recreation unless otherwise posted. During off hours and the off-season the park is typically not staffed, comfort stations are not available and gates may be closed. The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.

About the Park

Also called Ragged Neck, Rye Harbor State Park affords scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Isles of Shoals, and Rye Harbor. Ragged Neck is a peninsula of rocky coastline filled with lush green grass. Favorite activities enjoyed in the park include saltwater fishing and picnicking with ocean breezes. Amenities offered include picnic tables and restrooms.

Are pets allowed at Rye Harbor State Park?

Pets are not permitted in the park from May 1 - September 30. Leashed pets are permitted in the park from November 1 - April 30. See the NH State Parks Pets Policy for more information.

Pets are not permitted in the park in season, May 1- September 30. Leashed pets are permitted in the off season, October 1 - April 30. See the NH State Parks Pets Policy for more information.
