Jericho Mountain State Park 4x4 Off Road Trail

This is the first 4x4 Jeep/Truck trail, on public lands, in the Northeast! The trail is 2.5 miles long and is estimated to take 3.5-5 hours to complete. Vehicles enter through the main parking area at the Visitor Center on Jericho Lake Road. Cost is $20 per vehicle (up to 2 occupants) and $4 for each additional person. Vehicles are required to have a winch, modified tires and other modifications.

The North Woods Off Road Club (NWOR) built the trail, with State approvals, and is performing the trail maintenance. The trails are open to the public during the Visitors Center hours of operation. Drivers need to check in at the Visitor Center to get the gate opened. The gate will close at approximately 5pm during the summer, to allow vehicles to get out before the park closes at night.

Limitless Adventure: Jericho Mountain State Park

What’s up everybody, my name’s Ian and this is Limitless Adventure.

Today we’re at Jericho Mountain State Park.

We’re going to spend some time out on the lake, do a little bit of hiking, but what I’m most excited for is doing some ATV riding, so let’s roll out.

There’s over 50 miles of trail to explore here at Jericho.

Even though this is my first time riding, I’m already having a blast.

We’re up on top of Jericho Mountain.

I’m blown away by this view.

I can make out the Kilkenny Range and can even see Mount Washington from up here.

We only covered about 15 miles, but we wanted to leave time in the day for some other activities.

So we’re heading back down to the campground for a hike.

The park manager told us about an awesome little waterfall about 15 minutes from the campsite.

So let’s go check it out.

Here we are at Jericho Falls, only a half mile from our campsite.

Totally worth the walk.

Another thing I like about this campground is that it’s right next to Jericho Lake and the beach area.

We can even launch our boats right from the site.

Jericho Lake is a pretty huge lake.

This mountain backdrop makes for an awesome paddling experience.

At the end of the day, one other thing I’ve been looking forward to is this lake.

It’s a great break from the heat.

Let’s go back and get the campfire going.

Jericho Mountain State Park has easily become one of my favorite campgrounds.

Whether you’re into four-wheeling or just spending time outdoors in nature, it’s a great place to explore.
