Planning Your Day Trip

New Hampshire state parks welcome youth groups to visit our parks anytime. With much to offer from swimming, to hiking, sight-seeing to historic adventures, there is sure to be fun had by all.
 
We do request that you call the park directly at least two weeks prior to your trip to make your reservations and ensure that space is available at the park on your anticipated visit date. Groups that fail to make reservations may be turned away if the park is full.

Please Note: Our Parks with lakes and ponds (Inland Beaches) will not be staffed with lifeguards.

 
Peak Season
Most Parks June 20th - Labor Day
Monadnock, Miller, Rollins, Winslow June 20th - November 1st
 
Off-Peak Season
Most Parks After Labor Day - June 19th
Monadnock, Miller, Rollins, Winslow November 2nd - June 19th

NH School Groups

New Hampshire School Groups can visit any park during the off-season for free.

Please note: This offer is not valid at the Flume Gorge, Monadnock, Miller, Rollins and Winslow from June 20th through November 1st.

Free entrance with school groups is only available for adults falling within a 1:6 ratio of adults to youth. Any adult above this ratio must pay the group-use admission fee for the park visited. Contact the park directly for specific group use rates. NH Schools wishing to visit a state park during the peak season are eligible for participation in the Bus Pass Program.
 
For School groups wishing to visit the Flume Gorge or Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, please contact the Group Coordinator for Franconia Notch State Park at 603-823-8800.

Out-of-State School Groups

Out-of-State school groups can visit any day-use park at the youth-group rate of $2 per person (within a 1:6 ratio of youth to adults.) Please call the park directly for further rate information and to schedule your visit. For School groups wishing to visit the Flume Gorge or Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, please contact the Group Coordinator for Franconia Notch State Park at 603-823-8800.

Bus Pass Program

New Hampshire State Parks Bus Pass Program is designed to promote recreational opportunities within state parks for New Hampshire based community recreation programs, non-profit youth programs, and state agency youth programs during summer months.
 
Bus Passes are only available to the following types of organizations:
 
NH Community Recreation Youth Programs - Funded in whole or in part by a local NH community.
NH Non-Profit Youth Programs - Provide the organization's 501c3 Tax Exempt Identification Number and provide copy of current non-profit status as registered with the NH Secretary of State.
NH State Agency Youth Programs - A NH state agency.
NH School District Youth Programs - Summer programs operated by a NH Public School administrative unit.

Other Youth Groups

All school groups who do not qualify for the NH State Parks Bus Pass Program wishing to visit the day-use parks during our peak season (June 21 - Labor Day) can qualify for the youth-group rate of $2 per person within a 1:6 ratio of youth to adults. Please call the park for further rate information and to schedule your visit.

Youth Group Camping

NH State Parks provide a perfect backdrop for your group’s next adventure. Nearly all our campgrounds can host a youth group, offering a great way to connect kids of all ages to nature, teach them critical outdoor skills, and make valuable memories that will last a lifetime.
 
Youth group camping is not supported at Hampton RV Park, Monadnock-Gilson Pond, The Lodges at Coleman State Park, Ellacoya, or Cannon RV.

Youth Group reservations for Greenfield, Moose Brook, Monadnock HQ, Pawtuckaway and Pillsbury State Parks are made through ReserveAmerica by calling 1-877-647-2757.

All other youth group reservations are made by calling Concord Headquarters at 603-271-3556 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
 
  • A $25 deposit will be required at time of placing a reservation. The $6.50 reservation fee is non-refundable.
  • All additional fees will be collected at the park upon check-in.
  • All remote Youth Group campers at Umbagog and Dry River Campground must pay in advance.
  • Youth groups must camp only in tents, and must maintain 1 adult for every 4 children.
  • The cancellation policy applies to youth group camping.

Discover the Power of Parks Interpretive Rangers are available to present a nature program to your youth group during your stay at Pawtuckaway, White Lake, Monadnock, Greenfield, Franconia Notch, and Bear Brook State Parks.
