*Odiorne Point State Park's recreational areas and hiking trails will remain open. Playgrounds and indoor facilities are closed. The parking area at the Odiorne Point boat launch is closed. Please do not park along Rte 1A.
Activities and Amenities
At Odiorne Point State Park picnickers can enjoy sweeping views of the ocean and rocky shore, and explorers can uncover evidence of past military occupation. An extensive network of trails wind through the dense vegetation and traverse the park. The Seacoast Science Center, which is located in the park, has exhibits relating to the natural and human history of Odiorne and the seacoast area (separate fee). The Seacoast Science Center will be providing free programming this summer for parks guests (see schedule below).

Please Note: Dates and times are weather dependent and subject to change without notice. For up to date hours, please call the park directly. This park is always open for recreation unless otherwise posted. During off hours and the off-season the park is typically not staffed, comfort stations are not available and gates may be closed.
Children (6-11): $2
The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Please be aware that many State Park areas and trails are not staffed during the off-season, and day-use fees are not collected. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.
Seacoast Science Center Programming
The Seacoast Science Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing educational experiences at Odiorne Point State Park on behalf of New Hampshire State Parks. The Center is open daily, 10am-5-pm from mid-February-October 31; 10am-4pm from November 1–mid-February.
The Seacoast Science Center offers Interpretive Park programs at 1:30pm, daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and on weekends through Columbus Day. Visitors should meet near the Center’s main entrance to join the program. Topics, which are determined daily, may include plants, animals, social history, natural history, and more.
Admission is $4 for adults; $2 for children ages 6-11; children ages 5 and under and NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free. Season passes are available. When park is unstaffed during the season, please use Iron Ranger (self-serve paystation). Additional fee for The Seacoast Science Center.
Discover the Power of Parks Programming
Interpretive, nature-based programs will be offered at Seacoast State Parks all summer long as part of the Discover Power of Parks. Programs will be presented by our SCA Interpretive Rangers in the park each week. Check out the seacoast program schedule for more information. All programs are free with paid park admission. No pre-registration is required.
Weddings and Events at Odiorne Point State Park
Surrounded by beautiful stonewalls and overlooking the ocean, Odiorne Point provides a natural backdrop and intimate setting for your next special occasion. Odiorne Point State Park offers one of the most beautiful and diverse natural settings along New Hampshire's coastline with 135-acres of rocky shoreline, sandy beaches, salt marsh, freshwater and salt ponds, dense forest , military and historical sites all connected by an extensive trails system.
Odiorne Point Events/Weddings Information Sheet
A 3,200 sq. ft. (40’x80’) multi-peaked event tent will be installed for the season and is available to customize for your function. The group-use area rental fee includes event tent, mast pennants, interior perimeter tent lighting and electrical power.
