The Mount Sunapee Advisory Commission is established pursuant to RSA 12-A:29-a, to advise the Commissioner and meet with the lessee at the call of the Commissioner. Commission meetings are open to the public pursuant to RSA 91-A:2; however, such meetings do not constitute public hearings.

Previous Meetings

Governor & Executive Council meeting on Dec 19, 2018, to approve amendments to the Lease and Operating Agreement

#A          Authorize the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources to amend the terms of the Lease and Operating Agreement of the ski area at Mount Sunapee State Park by adding Change of Control language effective upon G&C approval through June 30, 2028. The original lease was approved by G&C on June 10, 1998, and an amendment to Lease and Operating Agreement was approved by G&C on April 6, 2016. 
#B          Authorize the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources to amend the terms of the Lease and Operating Agreement of the ski area at Mount Sunapee State Park to accept land and to provide for the expansion of the Mount Sunapee State Park. The Amendment shall be effective upon G&C approval. The original Lease was approved by G&C on June 10, 1998 and an Amendment to Lease and Operating Agreement was approved by G&C on April 6, 2016. 
#C          Authorize the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources to amend the terms of the Lease and Operating Agreement of the ski area at Mount Sunapee State Park to establish the requirement that the Lessee shall meet with the Mount Sunapee Advisory Commission at the call of the  Commissioner and shall operate with the Commission. The Amendment shall be effective Upon G&C approval. The original Lease was approved by G&C on June 10, 1998 and an Amendment to Lease and Operating Agreement was approved by Governor and Executive Council on April 6, 2016.

The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources thanks everyone who attended and participated at the July 25, 2018 public information session, and those who provided written comments regarding the proposed transfer of the Mount Sunapee State Park ski area lease agreement.
