Mittersill improvement project

A proposal has been brought forward by Cannon Mountain and Franconia Ski Club to install snowmaking, lift access, and other trail improvement projects on the Mittersill side at Cannon Mountain Ski Area in Franconia Notch State Park.

Proposed Mittersill improvements include:

  • T-Bar lift installation
  • Creating an alpine training and race venue
  • Trail widening
  • Adding snowmaking lines
  • Adding lower mountain connector
The project cost is estimated at roughly $3 million which would be privately funded by the Franconia Ski Club and gifted to the State (Cannon) upon completion.
