Campground Opening and Reservations

05/05/2020

On Friday May 1, Governor Sununu announced "Stay at Home 2.0" as the next step of a phased approach to opening the state for business. Included was the opening of State Park and private campgrounds.

We normally start preparing our campgrounds early in the spring.  We have not been able to conduct this work because of the COVID-19 endemic.  In the coming weeks, we will be preparing our campgrounds to open at 50 percent of normal capacity and hiring staff to operate the campgrounds.

Currently, all camping reservations have been cancelled through May 31st except for camping reservations at Bear Brook, Greenfield, Lake Francis, Lafayette, and Ellacoya. For those parks we are going to try to accommodate as many NH residents as possible while operating at 50% capacity.

We will soon make an announcement as to when we will be able to accept reservations.  Under Stay at Home 2.0 reservations will be limited to only NH state residents. Remember, this is just the first part of a phased approach to reopening our attractions.

We ask that you please be patient.  We want to get up and running as quickly as possible but need to make sure we do so safely.

To find current status of an existing reservation call Reserve America at 1-877-647-2757 or log in to your reserve America account and select my account and reservations. This will give you the status of your reservation.

Sign up to be added to our email list or follow us on Facebook for current park information.

Thank you,

Philip Bryce, Director
NH Division of Parks and Recreation
