Coos Highway Sections Close for ATVs Monday

(Concord, NH) The NH Bureau of Trails is reminding OHRV riders that Monday, November 4th, is the closing date for the sections of State Highway that are open to OHRV use. This includes Route 2 in Gorham, Lost Nation Road from Lancaster to Groveton, Main Street in N. Stratford, Main Street in W. Stewartstown and Bridge Street in Colebrook.

Bureau staff will be posting closure notices at access points on Monday. The highway sections will re-open in May, when the trails open for the 2014 riding season.  Riders are reminded that once these close to public OHRV use it is illegal for OHRVs to be on these roads.  “We had a good riding season this year” says Trails Chief Chris Gamache, “and rider compliance with these closures will be vital to keep access available in the future.”
