Volunteer Clean Up Day at Bear Brook State Park

(Concord, NH) On Saturday September 28, the Student Conservation Association NH Corps (SCA NH Corps) is hosting a service day in conjunction with the Allenstown Historical Society to clean up 8 historic sites in Allenstown and Bear Brook State Park. The day will begin at the Bear Brook State Park warehouse near the CCC Museum at 159 Deerfield Rd. Volunteers are asked to bring work gloves, rakes, and clippers. The work will consist of pulling weeds, clearing trails and removing debris. The SCA NH Corps will lead the volunteers to the sites and help with the cleanup.

Afterwards, a tour of the Old Allenstown Meeting House and refreshments will be offered. The service day is suitable for ages 8 and up. For more information and to register, email DPPOutreach@dred.state.nh or call (603) 485-2191.
