NH State Parks Campgrounds Named in America's Top 100 Family Campgrounds

(Concord, NH) – After a very successful Memorial Day Weekend, some of New Hampshire State Parks are being recognized nationally for the features that they provide.  “NH has many wonderful natural resources to include state parks,” stated Ted Austin, Director of the New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation.  “We are excited that they are being recognized nationally for their attributes.”

Each year, ReserveAmerica, the United States’ leading recreation reservation service, announces their “Top 100 Family Campgrounds,” a guide to help campers and their families plan camping trips at locations across America’s great outdoors. The list also includes ReserveAmerica’s top biking trails, beaches, scenic views, water recreation parks, and much more.

“The Top 100 Family Campground list highlights some of America’s finest campgrounds that not only provide convenient services, but offer beautiful scenery and ensure that outdoor enthusiasts and families have a great camping experience,” explained David Dutch, general manager for the Active Network’s Outdoors division. “We congratulate all our winners on receiving this great award.”

New Hampshire State Parks camping sites are still available throughout the summer season and reservations can be made via the website (www.nhstateparks.org) or calling 877-647-2757.   State parks offer a diversity of outdoor experiences from hiking and biking to picnicking.

The Division of Parks and Recreation is comprised of the Bureau of Park Operations, Bureau of Historic Sites, Bureau of Trails, and Cannon Mountain.  The Division manages 92 properties, including state parks, beaches, campgrounds, historic sites, trails, waysides, and natural areas.  The Division of Parks and Recreation is one of four divisions of the Department of Resources and Economic Development.  To learn more, visit www.nhstateparks.org or call 603/271-3556.
