BRISTOL, NH – Wellington State Park is one of the top places in the country for wetting a line or going for a boat ride, according to the results of a campaign by the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation.
Fans voted Wellington State Park
as one of the Top 8 Parks in the country for boating and fishing in the foundation’s Take Me Fishing’s campaign, Nature’s Waterpark Showdown. The park was also voted the top state park in the northern Atlantic region by Facebook fans, beating out parks in Maine and Vermont.
“We are excited for Wellington State Park to be included as a top park in the country,” said Phil Bryce, director of the New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation.
“Beautiful Newfound Lake is a great location for swimming, boating and fishing.”
