Thursday Morning Songbird Walk at Weeks State Park

Please join us on May 9th for a free bird walk at Weeks State Park in Lancaster, NH led by Dave Govatski.  This walk will focus on identification and nature of songbirds, and incidentally the spring wildflowers, that inhabit Weeks State Park and nearby wetlands.  This event is appropriate for adults and children of any skill level and no previous experience is necessary.  Dave is active in several conservation and birding organizations. He is well acquainted with the songbirds of Weeks Park and the surrounding area, and is experienced in leading field trips and helping participants to see and learn about our native birds.

Meet at the parking lot at the main entrance of Weeks State Park at 7:00 AM.  Bring raingear just in case and suitable footwear for an easy to moderate walk.  If you have binoculars or a bird identification book, please bring them. Anyone with special needs or questions should call (603) 788-4961 in advance.  Weeks State Park is located on the east side of Route 3, approximately 2 miles south of Lancaster.  This program is sponsored by the Weeks State Park Association, NH Division of Parks, and UNH Cooperative Extension.  All Weeks State Park programs are free and the public is invited.
