Equestrians Sought to Manage Trail

(Concord, NH) The NH Division of Parks and Recreation is holding an information meeting on Tuesday April 30th, 5:30 pm at the Dancing Bear Pub, 151 Main Street, Colebrook, NH to discuss the formation of an equestrian friends group to assist the Division in the management of a trails system from Coleman State Park to Pittsburg, NH.

The recently amended Connecticut Lakes Headwaters Working Forest plan directs the Division to assist in building a volunteer organization for a pilot trail system under development.

If a volunteer organization is not established within one year of the trail opening, tentatively planned for June 1, 2013, then the pilot trail will be closed to equestrian use.

For more information please contact, Johanna Lyons at 603/271-3556.
