Re-Creating Family Fun: Great Park Pursuit In Your Own Backyard

Multiple Locations throughout the State, July 28th
(Teams will only need to visit one location)

On July 28th, the NH Recreation and Parks Association will host its Municipal Park's Day:  The Great Park Pursuit - "Re-creating Family Fun" - the Great Park Pursuit In Your Own Backyard. This event is made possible by a partnership formed between the NH Division of Parks and Recreation, NH Recreation and Parks Association and three NH Municipal Recreation Departments.  

Teams should plan to visit only one of the three Parks that are offering events. Registration at all three Parks begins at 9:30 am and closes at 11:30 am. From 10:00 am to 1:45 pm, teams will participate in four stations that will include a variety of fun, educational and family oriented games and activities, please see below for further descriptions.

Guided Events

All four activities will simultaneously occur at the following times:
10:00-10:45 am  |  11:00-11:45 am  |  12:30-1:00 pm  |  1:15-1:45 pm

Traditional "Old Home Day" Events

Rediscover those great "Old Home Day" Events/Games, to include but not limited to:  sack races, wheelbarrow races, 3-legged races, egg toss, tug of war, relay races, family olympics, water balloon shot put, frisbee discs, and much, much more!

Family CATCH
CATCH stands for a Coordinated Approach To Child Health and is an evidence-based, coordinated school health program designed to promote physical activity, healthy food choices and the prevention of tobacco use in children.
During this station, families will learn and play fun new games.

Nature Scavenger Hunt or Hike
Lets take a Hike?  Or maybe participate in a Scavenger Hunt! (depending on location) 

Arts & Crafts from Nature
Let your team creativity shine as you design art with objects found in nature!
