2014 Great Park Pursuit

What is the Great Park Pursuit?

The New Hampshire Great Park Pursuit is a challenge designed to help families (teams) enjoy the recreational opportunities offered by the state and municipal parks, forests, and waterways in New Hampshire State Parks.

Teams follow trails, catch fish, and visit historic sites while learning about the health and educational benefits of being more active in the great outdoors. They discover the rewards of becoming healthy, environmentally conscience citizen, becoming stewards of public lands, and have fun every step of the way!

How does it work?

To participate in the Great Park Pursuit, families (teams) need a minimum of two members (at least one adult 18 years or older and one child under 18) and the desire to have a great time. Teams are invited to participate in guided events (must pre-register) and a series of self-guided quests throughout the course of the summer.
Guided Events provide scheduled activities focused on outdoor recreation, history, and environmental education with the help of our program partners. Registration will open 2 weeks prior to each event. Day-use fees are waived as long as your team has pre-registered.

    Self-guided quests
are created for families (teams) to do at their leisure any time throughout the summer. They will include suggestions for places to explore and activities to do while visiting NH State Parks. Teams are encouraged to go on at least one quest to add adventure to their Great Park Pursuit experience. Day-use fees are NOT waived for self-guided quest. 2014 Self-Guided Quest
