Program Descriptions:

Into the Night
Come meander with Ranger Luis to explore White Lake after sunset. In the dark without using flashlights, we will challenge our senses as they change with the diminishing light. Are you up to the test?

Afterloon Crafts
Did you hear the majestic call of the loon? Or perhaps a “loony laugh” while taking a stroll down the trail? Gather round learn more about these prehistoric creatures, and then create your own loon!

Lake Dwellers
Explore the creeks and shorelines of White Lake as we catch, identify, and learn about the aquatic creatures. Using the simplest of tools we capture them with nets, containers, and (my old time favorite) our bare hands!

Discovery Station
When was last you felt a fox's fur? Or held a moose's antler? Stop by the discovery station to check out and learn about New Hampshire's wildlife. Test your tracking skills and learn fun facts about these woodland creatures. If you have time, then make a pinecone creature or a leaf rubbing to take home with you!

Faces of the Forest
Tree Talk: Ever walk in a forest and wondered what tree this is? Come learn the native trees of New Hampshire around White Lake. Experience the wonders of how cool treeing around can be!

Magnificent Moths
Explore the wonders of moths and how they play a role in New Hampshire's ecology. Every night they take to the skies in the millions, come as we attract them and admire their mesmerizing beauty.

Leave No Trace 101
Whether it is your first time camping or you've camped many times before, come learn and test your skills at reducing your impact on nature. Win a prize for your efforts and make the difference by Leaving No Trace.

Sounds of the Past
Come hear the stories and legends of White Lake as we look back in history to the pre-colonization of New Hampshire.
