Monadnock State Park Programs
You may also enjoy our Discover Power of Parks blog, posted weekly by our Interpreters this summer.
Fall foliage season is a busy and exciting time at Monadnock State Park and the Interpretive Rangers are here to help enhance your visit! You will often find us at the information table located on the porch of the Visitors Center and hiking on the White Dot/White Cross Trails. You can easily identify an Interpretive Ranger by our powder-blue button-ups and our big smiles, so make sure to ask us any questions you may have about the mountain!
We also have programming available for visiting school groups and groups camping at the Youth Group camping area located at the Monadnock Headquarters Area. All of the programs are intended as pre-hike programs in order to make your visit to Monadnock more meaningful. We are offering your choice of one of three programs and would also be happy to combine programs if you would like to learn about several topics.
If you are interested in having a pre-hike program for your group, please contact us at Monadnock State Park, 603-532-8862.
Reading Between the Signs
Look over there.... deer tracks! Up in that tree.... a bird’s nest! By that log.... a porcupine’s midden! Everywhere you look, you can find signs of your furry (and not so furry) friends. Before the start of your hike, come learn a few simple ways that you can become an animal signs detective here at Monadnock! We will have pelts, skulls, and scat (replicas of course!) for you to explore.
