Discover the Power of Parks
Another season of Discover the Power of Parks programming has been completed! Interpretive Rangers from the Student Conservation Association presented informative and entertaining programs all summer long. This summer/fall we offered programming at 8 State Parks including Umbagog and Lake Francis, Pawtuckaway, Bear Brook, Monadnock, Franconia Notch, Greenfield and White Lake State Parks. Check back here next summer for more program offerings.

Interpretive programs focus on connecting participants with nature and building appreciation for New Hampshire's unmatched natural heritage. Programs include guided hikes, interpretive tours, and imaginative environmental workshops for children and families. Programs are offered free to guests with paid park admission fee. No pre-registration is required.

If you participated in five different programs, fill out a register with the program locations and dates and mail it to:

In a few weeks you will receive your complimentary Discover the Power of Parks Quest patch in recognition of your accomplishment. Be sure to note your return address on the envelope.

Monadnock State Park Programs

Monadnock State Park offered programs like 'Pond-emonium' and 'Up the Mountain' at the Gilson Pond Campground and the Monadnock Summit. Check out Monadnock Program Schedule.

Greenfield State Park Programs

Greenfield State Park offered 'Catch the Pond-emic', 'Summer Sun & Crafting Fun', and 'Night Prowls and Hootin Owls' programs. Check out the Greenfield program schedule.

Franconia Notch State Park Programs
