Wallis Sands State Beach offers oceanfront swimming, views of the Isles of Shoals, and a sandy beach that families especially enjoy. Beach amenities include a store that sells a variety of items, food, and drinks; and a large bathhouse with hot and cold showers. The park has a grassy area with picnic tables, but fires are not allowed. The parking lot can accommodate 500 cars. Prior to visiting seacoast, familiarize yourself with the Seacoast Beach information as well as Seacoast Beach parking options.

Operating Schedule

Please Note: Dates and times are weather dependent and subject to change without notice. For up to date hours, please call the park directly. This park is always open for recreation unless otherwise posted. During off hours and the off-season the park is typically not staffed, comfort stations are not available and gates may be closed.

Lifeguarding Schedule: Lifeguards are on duty from May 27th through September 6th. Lifeguard hours are 10 am to 5 pm daily.

The off-season poses unique risks inherent when participating in outdoor recreational activities. Please be aware that many State Park areas and trails are not staffed during the off-season, and day-use fees are not collected. Recreationists should possess the necessary knowledge, skill, and equipment to ensure their own safety. Users assume all risk while recreating in State Park lands.


Admission is $15 per passenger vehicle.  NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free. Season passes are available.
