2008 WINTER/SPRING ART CLASSES AT
THE COOLIDGE CENTER FOR THE ARTS
The Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion was the summer home of dilettante painter John Templeman Coolidge and his heirs from 1886-1954. He was an accomplished impressionist who had studied in Paris with Emile August Carolus Durand. Among his guests at Little Harbor were John Singer Sargent, Edmund Tarbell and Isabella Stewart Gardner. We continue this distinguished artistic tradition with summer shows of contemporary regional art and courses of art instruction in autumn and winter.
MEET THE TEACHERS OPEN HOUSE: Sunday, January 6th 2008, from 2:00-4:00 pm.
Come by the Coolidge Center for the Arts for an informal chat with the teachers about their courses, to see their work, and watch them paint.
