Campground Information

Less than 40 minutes to the coastal beaches to the east and to Manchester to the west, Pawtuckaway State Park Campground is well located for easy access to a variety of attractions and activities. Except for the RV Park located at Hampton Beach, Pawtuckaway provides the closest state park camping area to the seacoast. Hiking, mountain biking, boating, swimming, and fishing are popular pastimes of campers.

All sites are wooded and many provide views of the lake. Each of the campsites has an open fireplace, picnic table, flat area for a tent, and a parking space. Although there are no hook-ups, recreational vehicles are welcome in sites where they fit. Running water, flush toilet facilities, a camp store, boat launch, and canoe and paddle boat rentals are available. Coin-operated showers are accessible 24 hours a day. Please remember that pets are not permitted.

The 195-site campground includes 180 sites available by reservation only; 15 are for first-come/first-served campers. Four sites are for organized youth group camping. Reservations are required.

NEW THIS YEAR: Pawtuckaway State Park has five cabins.  Each cabin sleeps six people, has electricity, and the campsite includes a fire ring and picnic table. Reservations are required.

The campground is open for reservable stays from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend.  First-come/first-served camping with limited facilities and staffing is available starting May 15, 2009.
