The General Federation of Women's Clubs - New Hampshire is pleased to offer this unique cookbook for sale as part of their continued support of the Old Man of the Mountain.
Included in the scrapbook are recipe contributions for everything from appetizers, breads, soups and salads, meats, poultry, seafood, pasta, casseroles and vegetables, to desserts, candy, jams, relishes, and sauces. Each section begins with a color photo of the Old Man The recipe pages are embellished with samplings of the many submissions sent in to the Division of Parks and Recreation after the collapse of the Old Man, for inclusion in the Old Man of the Mountain online scrapbook. The New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation received an outpouring of condolences - from citizens of New Hampshire as well as from people across the country and even from around the world. So many mourned the loss of this familiar icon and took the time to share their feelings, that an online scrapbook was created to collect all the pictures, poems, and messages.
The GFWC-NH supports the Old Man of the Mountain Legacy Fund as the President's 2004-2006 Special Project.
A portion of each book sold will be donated to the Old Man of the Mountain Legacy Fund to assist in its quest to build a lasting memorial to the Old Man of the Mountain for all New Hampshire citizens and visitors to enjoy.
We encourage all New Hampshire citizens and friends of this great state to safeguard the values and rich history of the Old Man for future generations to embrace. We thank you for your support of this uniquely New Hampshire endeavor.
