The Designated Road System is owned and maintained by the State of New Hampshire, Division of Parks and Recreation. Motor vehicles registered for highway use are permitted, except motorcycles. Road gates are in place to control vehicle access on the roads and the property. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK GATES!
The Designated Road System, roads and gates, will be open for public auto and truck traffic from the end of mud season to the beginning of season closure (i.e., end of hunting season, or by snow cover, or by December 15th at the latest) unless there is a decision to close specific roads indefinitely or temporarily based on gate management guidelines and criteria.
The Road Closure Report will be updated as road conditions change. Information on the status of road closures and updates can also be obtained by calling 603-538-6707.
Please remember: Forest roads are not maintained or signed to highway standards. Please drive responsibly and prudently at all times. Watch out for other vehicles and road users. Yield to logging trucks.
