Public Skating at Bear Brook

Join us for ice skating on Catamount Pond!

Dig out those skates and enjoy a fun filled evening while sipping some hot drinks, toasting smores, sitting by the warm fire, and having a truly unique experience. All are welcome.

Notice: the February 17 skating event has been canceled due to weather and ice conditions. We are still planning to have an event on March 3, 2018.

We will be offering a free public skating event at Bear Brook State Park (in Allenstown, NH) on  March 3, 2018. A section of ice will be cleared off and open for skating on Catamount Pond from 2 to 7pm. Staff will be present to offer hot cocoa, snacks and a campfire on the beach. When the sun goes down, we'll switch on the lights so you can skate safely into the evening hours. Portable toilets will be available as well as benches for putting on your skates.

Helmets and pads are recommended. Sticks and pucks will not be allowed during the event. Leashed pets will be permitted on the beach or in the day-use area (not on the ice).

Pre-register online if you plan on attending:
