Pawtuckaway Programs

The 2018 Discover the Power of Parks program year will begin soon! Interpretive ranger, Rand Michaels is planning informative and fun programs for you to take advantage of while visiting Pawtuckaway State Park. All programs are free with paid park admission. No pre-registration is required.

Pawtuckaway Past and Present
Join Ranger Rand to learn about the history of Pawtuckaway State Park, from how the land was formed, to who settled there and more! Meet at the beach!.

The Honorable Harvest
Join Ranger Rand on a short hike and learn about local wild edible and medicinal plant species. Taste a few along the way if you’re adventurous! Meet at the beach!.

Welcome Table
Come meet Rand, the Pawtuckaway Interpretive Ranger, outside the park office and get a glimpse of some of the plants, animals and natural features to be found in the park!

Recycle Right
Recycling is a great way to help preserve our environment- but only if we do it right! Get some tips and tricks here on how to make your recycling count. Meet at the beach!

Here There be Dragons
Join Ranger Rand to discover the creatures that live at the bottom of the marsh. Have no fear, but there will be bugs here! Meet at the store!
