Volunteering

Whether you’re taking in the views from a mountain’s peak, spending an afternoon with friends on a clean ocean beach, or surrounding yourself in our woodlands, New Hampshire’s State Parks provide an array of opportunities to get outside and connect with nature, each other, and ourselves.

One of the most rewarding ways to give back to our parks is to become a New Hampshire State Park Volunteer. With over 90 diverse properties, about 1,000 miles of non-motorized trails, and over 120,000 acres, there are many ways you can help benefit our State Parks. From trail work, to park clean up and beautification days, to visitor services, and even helping us out on select “behind the scenes” tasks, there is a chance for everyone to participate, regardless of your experience or skill sets. There are opportunities to volunteer for single days and single projects, as well as longer term involvement for both individuals and organized groups.
