Seacoast Beaches Parking Options

When visiting a Seacoast State Park beach, there are several different options for parking. Hampton Beach offers private and municipal parking areas. Our State Park beaches offer three different ways to park:

By Carload

Parking is by carload at Hampton Beach State Park (south beach area) and Wallis Sands State Park. Fees are:
  • $15.00 per auto
  • $30.00 per RV/empty bus/van
Hours of operation are from 8am – 6pm daily, hours are subject to change without notice.

Parking Meters

Some parking spots along the coast use traditional parking meters and some use Park & Pay.  The fee for traditional meters is $2.00 per hour.  Hours of operation for the meters are 8 am to midnight, seven days a week, from May 1 through October 1, including weekends and holidays. From April 1 to April 30 and from October 2 to October 30 meters will charge $1.00 per hour.

Park & Pay Meters

When using the Park & Pay Meters:
  • Enter your space number and press the # Key. Your parking space number can be found on the pavement in your parking space.
  • If using cash – insert the exact amount as the machine does not give change. If using a credit or debit card, insert and remove the card quickly, and press the buttons to add time.
  • Press the green button to validate your transaction and receive a receipt.
  • Your receipt is for your records. There is no need to display the receipt on your dashboard.
Please Note:
  • Any space that does not have a traditional parking meter is part of the “Park & Pay” program.
  • Parking spaces are numbered either on the pavement or on a sign near the sidewalk.
  • The vehicle length limit is 20 feet.
  • Pay stations are located at beach entrances, or lot exits.
  • As long as you remember your space number, any pay station can be used to pay the initial fees or add time when time is about to expire.
  • The fee is $2.00 per hour, from April 1 to April 30 and from October 2 to October 30 meters will charge $1.00 per hour.
  • Pay stations accept credit cards and bills, which allows the visitor to choose the amount of time they need.
  • Pay stations are in effect daily from May 1st to October 1st from 8am to midnight, including weekends and holidays.
  • Jenness Beach State Park has the Park & Pay system.
  • Tickets are issued to those in violation.
  • If you park in a leased space, your vehicle will be towed.
