Presidential Recreational Rail Trail
This 18 mile trail begins at Cherry Pond, a birdwatchers paradise, and ends in Gorham. The trail goes through the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge (http://www.fws.gov/r5soc/) and a great spot to view the Presidential Range. The trail passes by the Israel and Moose rivers and is a beautiful North Country gem.
Permitted UsesHike, Bike, Horse, Snowshoe, Nordic, Snowmobile, and Mushing. ATV and Trailbike are permitted with snowcover only.
Parking is available at Hazen Rd in Whitefield, Rt. 2 in Randolph at the Castle Trailhead, Rt.2 in Gorham just past Jimtown Rd.
