Presidential Recreational Rail Trail
This 18 mile trail begins at Cherry Pond, a birdwatchers paradise, and ends in Gorham. The trail goes through the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge (http://www.fws.gov/r5soc/) and a great spot to view the Presidential Range. The trail passes by the Israel and Moose rivers and is a beautiful North Country gem. Permitted UsesHike, Bike, Horse, Snowshoe, Nordic, Snowmobile, and Mushing. ATV and Trailbike are permitted with snowcover only.
Parking AreasParking is available at Hazen Rd in Whitefield, Rt. 2 in Randolph at the Castle Trailhead, Rt.2 in Gorham just past Jimtown Rd.
