New Hampshire's Great Park Pursuit

Official Game Rules

  1. HOW TO ENTER. To enter, teams (which must consist of a minimum of two (2) members, with one member over the age 18, and one member under the age of 18) (each a "Team" and collectively, "Teams") must complete an official Great Park Pursuit ("Contest") registration form online and complete and submit participant consent forms (minors' parent/legal guardians must execute consent forms on behalf of minors) following the online registration. Registration packet can be picked up at the event on Saturday May 19th at Bear Brook State Park unless other arrangements are made. Completed forms must be submitted at the event or returned to The Great Park Pursuit, c/o NH Division of Parks and Recreation, PO Box 1856, Concord, NH 03302-1856 by prior arrangement.

    To be eligible for the Grand Prize, Teams must visit all six park pursuits, including a challenge event on June 23, 2007, at the designated dates and times (each an "Activity" and collectively, "Activities"), based on the specific Activity description documents ("Activity Description Documents"), which will be made available to all entrants at the parks where structured activities are taking place. If none of the teams visit all six parks, then the team(s) with the highest number of points will be eligible to win the grand prize. The first Activity takes place on May 19, 2007 and the last activity takes place on June 23, 2007. All teams that complete all six Activities, or have the highest number of points will be eligible to participate in a final Activity (the "Final Activity") which will take place at the sixth park on June 23, 2007. All state park entrance and parking fees will be waived for all Teams on Activity days. By entering, all team members warrant and represent in connection with their participation in the Contest that they: (1) will not engage in any dangerous activities that may be likely to cause personal injury to themselves or others or property damage; and (2) will act in a mature and sportsmanlike manner while participating in the Activities.

    All Registration Materials in addition to any materials submitted via the Great Park Pursuit web site (including any photographs, videos, images, or other intellectual property submitted to the Division by any Team) (collectively, "Additional Materials") become the sole and exclusive property of the Division, and receipt of Registration Materials and/or Additional Materials will not be acknowledged or returned. The Division is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, stolen, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, technically corrupted or garbled Registration Materials, which will be disqualified, or for problems of any kind whether mechanical, human or electronic, including without limitation, problems with the web site through which entrants download/submit Registration Materials. Only fully completed Registration Materials are eligible.

  2. ELIGIBILITY. Participation is open only to legal residents of the United States. Void outside of the United States and where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. Employees, officers & directors of the Division, and any other organizations involved in the production and/or administration of the Contest are not eligible to win prizes. Teams are not authorized to participate in the Contest if they are not located within the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
  3. JUDGING. Teams with the highest number of points will be eligible to compete in the Final Activity. All Teams must complete Activities as described in the Activity Description Documents, available at each park where activities are taking place, which shall be incorporated herein into the Official Rules by reference. All Activities will be judged and scored in accordance with the relevant Activity Description Document. The Division reserves the right to reject or disqualify any Team, for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion, including without limitation for cheating, violent or dangerous behavior and/or unsportsmanlike conduct. The Division reserves the right to cancel the Contest in the event that insufficient numbers of Teams are entered to adequately apply the scoring criteria as set forth in the Activity Description Documents.

    After all six Activities have taken place, the Teams with the highest numerical score (based on the scoring system set forth in each Activity Description Documents) will be the winners. Any Teams that have a tied score at the end of the Final Activity will be required to take a test about state parks, and the winner of that test will be the winner.
  4. PRIZES. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the top scoring Team. Secondary Prizes will be awarded to other participants for achievement. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitutions or cash redemptions.
  5. NOTIFICATION. Winners will be notified on or about June 23, 2007 at the sixth and final park and will be required to sign and return, where legal, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release and rights transfer document within seven (7) days of prize notification. If any winner cannot be contacted within five (5) calendar days of first notification attempt, if any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, if any winner rejects his/her prize or in the event of noncompliance with these Contest rules and requirements, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected based on the judging criteria. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given.
  6. CONDITIONS. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Participation in Contest and acceptance of prize constitutes each entrant's and each winner's permission for the Division to use his/her name, address (city and state), likeness, photograph, picture, portrait, voice, biographical information, Submission and any statements made by each winner regarding the Contest or Sponsor for advertising and promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By participating, entrants and winners agree to release and hold harmless the Division, the State of New Hampshire, their respective advertising and promotion agencies and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors, from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Contest, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Contest-related activity and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, copyright infringement, trademark infringement or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. Teams who do not comply with these Official Rules, or attempt to interfere with this Contest in any way shall be disqualified. There is no purchase or sales presentation required to participate. A purchase does not increase odds of winning.
