BEAR BROOK STATE PARK - UPCOMING PROGRAMS
Programming at Bear Brook occurs every other week.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3
8pm: Night Hike with Games, Night Sensory Exploration, and Star Gazing. After the sun goes down, a whole world of nocturnal critters awake. Learn about animals who love the dark and their amazing adaptations as we play a variety of night sensory games. Then close out the evening with a constellation tour of the spectacular night sky.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4
10am: Ponding. Using nets, skimmers and our own bare hands, we will explore a fascinating aquatic world within the park’s ponds. We will guide you through collection, insect and amphibian identification, proper handling, and the return of specimens to their natural habitat during this fun filled (and wet) program!
2pm: Survival Skills. Learn basic wilderness survival skills of loss prevention, shelter building, fire starting, water finding, and first aid for survival scenarios in this interactive program providing fun for the whole family.
7pm: Crafts. Nature themed crafts are fun for everyone! Come make an awesome craft to take home with you as a souvenir for your time visiting our park!
